Terms of use
Last updated October 19, 2026. By using whatsizedrillbit.com you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Reference information only
The drill sizes, charts, calculator results and guides are general reference information. They are standard values for common taps and screws, not instructions for a particular job. Results depend on your tools, material, machine and technique. Where a tap, screw or tool maker gives a different value, follow the maker. Test on scrap when it matters.
Safety
Drilling and tapping involve rotating tools, sharp edges, flying chips and broken tool fragments. Wear eye protection, secure the work, and follow your tool makers' safety instructions. For structural, pressure, lifting or safety-critical work, use the fastener maker's engineering data and the applicable codes, and get qualified advice.
No warranty
We work to keep the information accurate and correct errors when we find them, but the site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
